One. Purpose and Product Features of Steam Pipe Exhaust Muffler:

The noise emitted from the steam exhaust mufflers and other thermal equipment, such as steam pipelines, far exceeds the values stipulated in China's "Noise Hygiene Standards for Industrial Enterprises" (refer to Appendices 1 and 2). Consequently, our factory's steam muffler product line is primarily designed for effective noise reduction of steam emissions from thermal equipment such as boiler turbines in the power generation, chemical, metallurgical, and textile industries. These steam mufflers are developed based on the composite noise reduction principle of resistance, jetting, and damping, offering advantages of high noise reduction, small size, light weight, and easy installation. Depending on their application, they come in several forms:

Boiler Ignition Exhaust Muffler (TB) Type

To suppress the noise from high-pressure gas flow emissions, there are currently various types of silencers, most of which use multi-stage throttling to reduce pressure. However, due to their complex structure, heavy weight, and difficulty in disassembly and maintenance, their application range is limited. This new structural silencer overcomes these shortcomings.

This type of exhaust steam silencer is designed based on a comprehensive understanding of sound absorption principles. After high-pressure steam undergoes a single flow control within the silencer, it enters a pressure-reducing chamber where it is expanded in a large volume, forming low-pressure steam that is then ejected. During this process, a portion of the steam's internal energy is converted into sound energy of a certain frequency. Although the noise power is significantly reduced, it often remains above the standard value due to various factors such as the exhaust deviating from the design specifications. To address this, a double-layered sound-absorbing enclosure is designed around the pressure-reducing chamber, tailored to the frequency spectrum characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the chamber. This enclosure is designed to effectively absorb the remaining noise. After installation according to specifications, the total noise reduction should reach 36 to 42 decibels.

2. Steam Safety Valve Muffler (TA Type)

It is well known that for safety valves of boiler and other thermal devices, the exhaust steam should avoid excessive noise and ensure smooth exhaust flow. Therefore, the commonly used multi-stage throttling and small-hole injection for noise reduction should not be adopted. This restriction has always been a design challenge for safety valve silencers and a reason for their poor noise reduction performance. This utility model also employs the anti-noise principle of resistance, injection, and obstruction, replacing the smaller diameter control flow holes with larger diameter expansion holes. This enhances the noise reduction mechanism of resistance, injection, and obstruction, achieving an ideal noise reduction effect.

3. Low-pressure Steam Silencer (TD Model)

Numerous industrial and mining enterprises utilize a substantial number of low-pressure boilers with pressures of 01.3MPa or less, and there are also a large number of low-pressure thermal systems in power stations, such as back-pressure turbines, deaerators, auxiliary air blowers, steam turbine oil pumps, continuous blowdown of boilers, periodic blowdown expansion tanks, and more. The exhaust pipes of the aforementioned equipment require the installation of noise dampers with lightweight structures and easier installation. Our factory has designed specialized deaerator series, back-pressure turbine series, and other product series tailored to different noise attenuation needs, which can meet the requirements of our customers.

The above exhaust silencer meets the requirements of the "Noise Hygiene Standard for Industrial Enterprises" and has been widely used domestically.

Section 3: Ordering and Selection Guidelines for Steam Pipe Exhaust Mufflers

Our steam exhaust silencer series is meticulously designed based on the user's steam emission target and requirements. To achieve optimal noise reduction, the product must be compatible with the emission target, steam parameters, and volume. Therefore, when ordering a silencer, the following parameters must be provided:

① Provide steam turbine model, boiler capacity, steam pressure, and temperature for thermal power plants.

② Application (such as for boiler superheat emissions or drum safety valve emissions, etc.)

③ Emission Rate T/H

④ Original exhaust pipe outer diameter, wall thickness;

If you require our factory to handle the installation design, please provide the original exhaust piping installation diagram.

For models not listed in the product manual, users can provide the relevant information mentioned above, and the factory will assist in selecting the appropriate model.

Four: Installation Instructions for Steam Pipe Exhaust Muffler

① The exhaust muffler should be installed perpendicular to the factory roof, and the muffler bracket should be securely fastened to the factory building using steel frame supports.

② To enhance the wind resistance of the factory building's roof height, the exhaust silencer body is equipped with a supporting bracket. Therefore, the exhaust pipe before the exhaust silencer should have a section of expansion bend to absorb thermal expansion. If a drain pan is already installed vertically on the original exhaust pipe section, the expansion bend should not be installed.

③ The bottom of each exhaust muffler is designed with a drain pipe or drain holes. The openings should be checked for free flow.

④ The exhaust pipe should have a rain shield made of thin steel plate installed over the opening in the factory roof platform (as shown in Figure 3).

⑤ For safety doors, it is generally a one-door-to-one-muffler ratio. Safety doors come in single and double seats. For the double-seat models, the exhaust pipes can be combined into a single main pipe during installation and connected to the muffler. However, for double-seat safety doors with larger exhaust volumes, two mufflers can also be installed.

⑥ The exhaust silencers for low-displacement applications such as deaerators and steam喷射式 vacuum pumps are designed in a tubular shape for easy installation. The installation method involves mounting the exhaust silencer vertically along the walls and columns of the main workshop. Type steel sliding brackets are set up on the walls and columns, with the silencer and pipeline suspended from them. The exhaust outlet of the silencer should face towards the roof. Note that the silencers are factory-fitted with fixed supports; when using sliding brackets for installation, the fixed supports are not required.
