I. Purpose and Product Features of Exhaust Muffler:

The noise emitted by steam boilers and other thermal equipment, such as steam exhaust, far exceeds the values stipulated in China's "Hygienic Standard for Noise in Industrial Enterprises." Therefore, our factory has sold a series of practical steam muffler products, primarily used for effective noise reduction of steam exhaust from thermal equipment like steam turbines in power generation, chemical, metallurgical, textile, pharmaceutical, papermaking, iron and steel, and cement industries.

This series of steam exhaust mufflers is developed based on the composite noise reduction principle of resistance, injection, and obstruction, featuring large noise reduction capacity, small size, light weight, and easy installation. Depending on different applications, our factory offers the following types for sale:

Steam Exhaust Muffler (TA) Type

To suppress the noise from high-pressure gas flow emissions, there are various types of mufflers in the world today, most of which operate on the principle of multi-stage throttling to reduce pressure. However, due to their complex structure, heavy weight, and difficulty in disassembly for maintenance, their application range is limited. This new structural muffler overcomes these shortcomings.

This type of steam exhaust silencer is designed based on a comprehensive understanding of sound absorption principles. After high-pressure steam undergoes a controlled flow within the exhaust silencer, it enters a pressure-reducing chamber and is expanded through a large volume, forming low-pressure steam that is then emitted. During this process, part of the steam's internal energy is converted into sound energy at certain frequencies. Although the noise power is significantly reduced, it often remains above the standard value due to reasons such as deviations from the designed exhaust pressure. To address this, a double-layered sound-absorbing housing is designed around the pressure-reducing chamber, tailored to the spectral characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the chamber. This housing is designed to effectively absorb the remaining noise. After installation according to specifications, the total noise reduction should reach 35 to 45 decibels, far exceeding the national noise hygiene standards for industrial enterprises.

2. Steam Exhaust Muffler (TB Model)

As is well-known, for safety valves on boilers and other thermal equipment, the exhaust steam should avoid excessive noise and ensure smooth flow. Therefore, the commonly used methods of multi-stage throttling and small-hole injection for noise reduction should not be employed. Such limitations have always been a design challenge for safety valve silencers and are also the reason for their poor noise reduction performance. This silencer for safety valves also utilizes the noise reduction principle of resistance, injection, and obstruction, replacing the smaller diameter flow control holes with larger diameter holes for expansion, thereby enhancing the resistance, injection, and obstruction noise reduction mechanisms structurally, achieving ideal noise reduction effects.

3. Low-pressure Exhaust Muffler (Type TD)

A significant number of industrial and mining enterprises utilize low-pressure boilers with a pressure of 01.3MPa or less. In power plant thermal systems, there are also numerous low-pressure thermal devices, such as back-pressure turbines, deaerators, auxiliary exhaust blowers, turbine oil pumps, continuous boiler blowdown, and periodic blowdown expanders, etc. The exhaust pipes of the aforementioned equipment require the installation of noise dampers that are lightweight in structure and easier to install. Our factory designs dedicated deaerator series, back-pressure turbine series, and other product lines for different noise reduction targets, meeting the needs of our customers.

The above silencers meet the requirements of the "Noise Hygiene Standards for Industrial Enterprises" and have been widely adopted domestically.

Section 2: Guide to Selecting Exhaust Muffler Models

Our factory offers steam mufflers in the following three major types:

1. TA Type Exhaust Muffler: Used for noise reduction of exhaust steam from high and medium pressure boilers during ignition, selected from Table 1.

2. TB Type Exhaust Muffler: Used for noise reduction in the exhaust of high and medium pressure steam safety valves, select from Tables 2 and 3.

3. TD Type Exhaust Muffler: Used for steam exhaust noise reduction in various steam boilers, deaerators, back-pressure turbines, and other auxiliary power plant equipment with pressures below 0.16 MPa. Selection from Tables 4 and 5. For items not listed in the tables, customers can provide information such as steam parameters, exhaust volume, and pipe interface dimensions of the equipment, and the factory will assist in selection.

Steam Exhaust Muffler

Composite, suitable for temperatures up to 450 degrees, pressure up to 6.4 MPa

TB Type Steam Exhaust Muffler, where TB indicates a muffler with a soundproofing enclosure (compound type). It is based on the micro-porous design, with an additional soundproofing enclosure and filled with sound-absorbing cotton. Gas enters from the bottom inlet and exits from the top. Due to the presence of sound-absorbing cotton, it is suitable for pressures up to 6.4 Mpa; otherwise, the filling may be blown out. The casing is made of carbon steel suitable for temperatures up to 450 degrees.

TB-3.82-10/57 Model Meaning: TB signifies a composite exhaust muffler, 57 denotes the external diameter of the interface is 57mm, and 10 indicates the exhaust volume is 10T/H.

  

Mini-hole type, suitable for high temperature and high pressure

TA Type exhaust muffler, where TA indicates the small-hole muffler (small-hole type), is suitable for high temperature and high-pressure applications. It does not use sound-absorbing cotton filling. The muffler is surrounded by small holes, with gas entering from the bottom pipe and exiting from all sides.

Model TA-3.82-10/57 Explanation: TA signifies a small hole exhaust muffler, 3.82 indicates a pressure of 3.82 Mpa, 57 denotes the interface outer diameter of 57mm, and 10 represents the exhaust volume of 10T/H.

  

Section 3: Instructions for Ordering and Selecting Exhaust Muffler Models

Our factory's exhaust silencer series is meticulously designed to meet the specific steam emission targets and requirements of the customer. To achieve optimal noise reduction, it is essential that the product aligns with the emission target, steam parameters, and volume. Therefore, when ordering a silencer, the following information must be provided:

1. Steam pressure and temperature emissions

2. Application and Installation Location (e.g., for boiler superheat exhaust or drum safety valve exhaust, etc.)

3. Emission Rate: T/H

4. Original exhaust pipe outer diameter and wall thickness.

5. Should you entrust our factory with the installation design, please provide the original exhaust pipe routing installation diagram.
