Hubei Province Specification for Horizontal Push Force Testing of Railings; Applicable samples for railing horizontal push force tests by third-party railing testing institutions include highway railings, balcony railings, bridge railings, school guardrails, pile foundations, guardrails, metal railings, wooden railings, etc.

Construction and maintenance loads, as well as railing horizontal loads, are very important. Each parameter must be mastered to ensure safety and quality during actual construction. Let me introduce you to railing horizontal loads.
1. When designing roof panels, rafters, reinforced concrete overhangs, canopies, and prefabricated beams, the construction or maintenance concentrated load (the weight of people and small tools) should be taken as 1.0 kN, and calculations should be performed at the *least favorable position.
Note: 1) For light components or wider components, when the construction load exceeds the aforementioned load, the actual conditions should be calculated or temporary facilities such as additional pads and supports should be used to bear the load.
2) When calculating the bearing capacity of overhangs and canopies, a concentrated load should be taken every 1.0m along the width of the board; during the check for overturning of overhangs and canopies, a concentrated load should be taken every 2.5 to 3.0m along the width of the board.
2. Horizontal loads on balustrades for staircases, grandstands, balconies, and pedestrian roofs, etc., should be adopted in accordance with the following provisions:
1) Residential buildings, dormitories, office buildings, hotels, nurseries, and kindergartens should be taken as 0.5 kN/m.
2) For schools, canteens, theaters, cinemas, stations, auditoriums, exhibition halls, or stadiums, use 1.0 kN/m³. When using load combination criteria, construction and maintenance loads, as well as railing horizontal loads, may be disregarded.
Hubei Province railing horizontal thrust testing scope: Wuhan, Huangshi, Xiangyang, Jingzhou, Yichang, Shiyan, Xiaogan, Jingmen, Ezhou, Huanggang, Xianning, Suizhou, Enshi, Qianjiang, Xiantao, Tianning.
