Chemical descaling process:
Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel deslagging pipelines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. It introduces a solution of a certain acidity concentration, which circulates and cleans within the sludge water pipeline. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, acid is continuously replenished. For short-distance single sludge water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.
Breakdown Cleaning
During cleaning, two grey pipes cannot form a loop; only a single grey pipe can be used for open-path cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the grey pipe to the cleaning device, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the solution tank, and injecting it into the grey pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, resulting in higher costs.
Continuous Cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while operating the ash transfer pipes, simultaneously introducing a specific quantity of ash transfer pipe running cleaner and pipeline descaler for cleaning, and performing an open circuit wash. The primary role of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and ash deposits at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing solubility in water, reducing air blockage, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is: Prior to cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaning agent based on the sludge water flow and acidity. During cleaning, collect samples at the sampling point at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take samples at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be considered complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.

(2) Rapid Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined abrasive actions of water jetting, wedging, shearing, and grinding, scaling can be quickly disintegrated and removed, making the cleaning process several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, ball shotting, simple mechanical, and manual methods.
Additionally, parts cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical agents must be rinsed off with clean water.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Categorized by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, among others. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the primary components of sulfate and silicate scales are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a combination of the three types.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: water scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and tube walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easy to dislodge.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heat transfer surface, it severely degrades heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can also easily damage metal materials due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeds up the deterioration of the heat transfer surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
