Chemical Cleaning Scale Removal Process
Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning
Recirculation cleaning utilizes two original parallel desulfurization pipelines to form a loop, creating a circulating system with the cleaning pump station. It introduces a certain concentration of acidic solution, which circulates within the slurry pipes for cleaning. Additionally, as the acidic cleaning reaches a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single slurry pipes, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is shut down and is complex and costly.
Open Channel Cleaning
No two gray pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only a single gray pipe should be used for open circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the gray pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and injecting it into the gray pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires additional cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous operation cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while operating, without interrupting the normal ash transportation in the ash pipe. Simultaneously, a specific quantity of ash pipe operation cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent is added for open-loop cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the formation of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the sludge pipeline by considering the flow rate of the gray water and the acidity. During cleaning, take samples at the sampling point at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the flow rate of acid addition. In the later stage of cleaning, take samples at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning process can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental protection, ease of operation, and safety.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined actions of water jet flushing, chiseling, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to tens of times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, ball-blasting, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, it includes carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types of scales.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: a hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and tube walls, and a loose sediment that is easy to dislodge.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts, such as calcium and magnesium, in the boiler feed water being precipitated and adhering to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly deteriorates heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeding up the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using either mechanical or chemical methods.
