Chemical cleaning scale removal process:
Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel deslagging pipelines to form a loop, creating a circulating system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, and it circulates through the sludge water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, acid is continuously replenished. For short-distance single sludge water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a circulating loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex and costly.
Open-channel cleaning
No two grey pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only single grey pipe open circuit cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the grey pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and then continuously or intermittently injecting it into the grey pipe. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous operation cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a specific amount of acidic solution while simultaneously introducing a certain quantity of ash conveying pipe cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent. This is an open-loop cleaning method. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to facilitate the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water, reducing the formation of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is: before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the ash removal agent and pipeline descaler based on the gray water flow and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front of the ash pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the ash pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.
2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: During the high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipelines and the internal cavities of heat exchangers, all scaling and obstructions within the pipes are thoroughly removed, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and ultra-sonic velocity, is fully capable of destroying hard scaling and obstructions without causing any damage to the metal.
Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base being cleaned.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed - Due to the combined actions of jet washing, splitting, shearing, and abrasive cutting, scale can be quickly broken and removed. This process is several to tens of times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.
Additionally, parts cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface must be rinsed with clean water.
(3) No Environmental Pollution: Since high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not generate large amounts of dust like sandblasting, grit blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the atmosphere and harm health. It also does not produce large volumes of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet cleaning with pure water as the medium is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. After atomization, it can also reduce the dust concentration in the working area, lowering atmospheric dust levels from 80mg/m³ with other methods to below the national safety standards, thus causing no pollution.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.
(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: a hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and tube walls, and a loose sediment that is easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium present in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of lime scale is very low, around 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. Lime scale deposited on the boiler's heating surface significantly worsens heat transfer efficiency, impacting the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to local overheating, even leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeding up the damage to the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
