Conical Dryer

Introduction

The Conical Dryer is a dryer that integrates mixing and drying. It is equipped with a condenser, vacuum pump, and the dryer to form a vacuum drying unit. It is an improved and redesigned version of the traditional domestic vacuum rake dryer, specifically designed for various materials such as pastes, creams, granules, powders, and fibrous materials. The internal structure is simple, easy to clean, and allows for complete discharge of the material. It operates simply, reducing labor intensity and improving the working environment (e.g., if solvent recovery is not required, the condenser can be omitted). Additionally, due to the material's rotation during the container's rotation without accumulation on the wall, it has a high heat transfer coefficient, leading to a rapid drying rate. This not only saves energy but also ensures uniform and thorough drying of the material, resulting in high quality. It can be used for drying materials in industries such as chemicals, food, and dyes, and meets "GMP" requirements. The Conical Dryer uses a stirrer screw to rotate and elevate the material, while the conical jacket simultaneously introduces a heat transfer medium such as hot water, thermal oil, or steam.

Operating Principle

       The conical dryer is a rotating drum with a double-conical shape. Inside the drum, under vacuum conditions, steam or hot water is introduced into the jacket for heating. Heat is transferred through the inner wall of the drum to the wet material. The water vapor evaporated from the wet material is then drawn away through the vacuum pump via the vacuum exhaust pipe. Due to the vacuum state inside the drum and the rotation of the drum, which continuously flips the material up and down and inside and out, the drying speed of the material is accelerated, the drying efficiency is improved, and uniform drying is achieved.

Product Features

       Fast drying speed, typically just a few to a dozen seconds, with instant drying characteristics. The temperature of the droplets during the drying process is relatively low, especially suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials, maintaining the color, fragrance, and taste of the material. To prevent adhesion on the drying tower, this device is equipped with a special structure, effectively eliminating the adhesion of products. The unique finished product aeration system promptly separates the dried product from the hot and humid air within the system, preventing the possibility of moisture absorption or caking in the dried product. Under vacuum, the boiling point of the material solution is reduced, increasing the heat transfer driving force of the evaporator, thus, for a certain amount of heat transfer, it can save the heat transfer area of the evaporator. The heat source for the evaporation operation can be low-pressure steam or hot steam. The evaporator has minimal heat loss, allowing for sterilization before drying, ensuring no impurities are mixed in during the drying process, and meets GMP requirements. The use of a condenser effectively recovers the solvent from the material.
