I. Overview of Reverse Osmosis Systems
High levels of impurities are present in natural water, making a pretreatment system before reverse osmosis essential. A well-designed pretreatment system not only ensures long-term stable operation of subsequent equipment but also operates safely and reliably for an extended period. The choice of pretreatment depends on the water quality and includes multi-media filters, activated carbon filters, filters, softeners, iron and manganese removal filters, and disk filters, among others.
1. Multi-Media Filter
Process Features: Multi-media filters, also known as mechanical filters, primarily trap physical impurities in water, removing suspended matter, solid particles, and some colloidal substances.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal corrosion protection), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber corrosion protection), catering to the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: FRP specification NCHJL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter: 200-3000mm.
Based on your actual water usage, we'll assist you in selecting the appropriate specifications and materials.
2. Active Carbon Filter
Process Features: Activated carbon filters are primarily used to absorb color, odor, residual chlorine, organic matter, and colloidal substances in water; they also serve to filter out large particles of impurities. Pasteurization can be equipped to enhance the lifespan of activated carbon, reducing bacterial growth during the production process.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal anti-corrosion), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for anti-corrosion), capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Full Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: FRP specification NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, Stainless Steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter: 200-3000mm.
3. Demineralizer
Process Features: The softener, which is a sodium ion exchange unit, effectively removes Ca2+ and Mg2+ from the water during production, thereby reducing the water hardness. This prevents the formation of carbonate and sulfate scales during production and allows for the resin to be regenerated and recycled. The softener can be used for boiler water softening and as pretreatment for reverse osmosis.
Materials include: glass fiber reinforced plastic, carbon steel (internal anti-corrosion), stainless steel SUS304 (lined with anti-corrosion material), capable of meeting various industry production and process requirements.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Full Automatic (Automatic Control Valves, Pneumatic Valve Groups, and Electric Valve Groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: Glass fiber specifications NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304 specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter from 200-3000mm.
4. Filter Cartridge, Filter Housing
Process Features: The filter, also known as a fine filter in the water system, is typically achieved through a melt-blown polypropylene (PP) membrane with a pore size of 5µm. Fine filtration is a pre-treatment process before the water enters the reverse osmosis membrane. Its function is to prevent any leakage from the previous filtration step, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the reverse osmosis system.
