I. Overview of Reverse Osmosis Systems
High levels of impurities are present in natural water, making a pretreatment system prior to reverse osmosis indispensable. A comprehensive pretreatment system not only ensures the long-term stable operation of subsequent equipment but also operates safely for an extended period. Depending on the water quality, pretreatment options include multimedia filters, activated carbon filters, sediment filters, softeners, iron and manganese removal filters, and disc filters, among others.
1. Multi-Media Filter
Process Features: Multi-media filter, also known as mechanical filter, primarily intercepts physical impurities in water, removing suspended matter, solid particles, and some colloidal substances.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (internally coated for corrosion resistance), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for corrosion resistance), capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (Automatic Control Valves, Pneumatic Valve Groups, and Electric Valve Groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) NCHJL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304 specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter from 200-3000mm.
Based on your actual water usage, we'll assist you in selecting the appropriate specifications and materials.
2. Active Carbon Filter
Process Features: Activated carbon filters are primarily used to adsorb color, taste, residual chlorine, organic matter, and colloidal substances in water; they also serve to filter out large particle impurities. Pasteurization can be equipped to enhance the lifespan of activated carbon, reducing bacterial growth during the production process.
Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal corrosion protection), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber corrosion protection), capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.
Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (with automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: FRP Specifications NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, stainless steel SUS304 specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter ranges from 200-3000mm.
3. Demineralizer
Process Features: The softener, also known as a sodium ion exchange unit, effectively removes Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions from the water during production, reducing water hardness. This prevents the formation of carbonate and sulfate scale during production, and the resin can be regenerated for continuous use. The softener can be used for softening boiler water and as pretreatment for reverse osmosis systems.

Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (with automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).
Model and Specifications: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) specifications NCHTL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.
Carbon steel, Stainless Steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter ranges from 200-3000mm.
4. Filter Cartridge Housing
Process Features: The filter, also known as a fine filter in the water system, is typically achieved by a polypropylene (PP) membrane with a melt-blown pore size of 5µm. Fine filtration is a pre-treatment process before the raw water enters the reverse osmosis membrane. Its function is to prevent any leakage from the previous filtration stage, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the reverse osmosis system.
