A spray dryer works by air passing through a filter and heating unit, then entering the top of the hot air distributor in the drying chamber. The hot air from the distributor uniformly enters the chamber and rotates in a spiral pattern. Simultaneously, the feed liquid is delivered to the spray nozzle installed at the top of the chamber, where it is atomized into fine droplets. This greatly increases the contact area between the feed liquid and hot air, causing rapid evaporation of moisture and drying of the product in a very short time. Coarser finished products are collected in a hopper at the bottom of the dryer, while exhaust gases are expelled by a centrifugal fan.
THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ▶∣Key Features:
1. Drying speed is rapid. After the liquid is sprayed, the surface area is significantly increased, allowing for the evaporation of 95-98% of the moisture in the high-temperature airflow almost instantly, with the drying process taking just a few seconds.
2. Utilizing co-current spray drying, the temperature of the droplets during the drying process remains low, ensuring high product quality. Inside the spray drying chamber, the droplets flow in the same direction as the hot air. Although the hot air is at a higher temperature, the immediate contact between the hot air and the spray droplets upon entering the chamber causes a rapid drop in the indoor temperature, preventing excessive heating of the dried material. This method is suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials. The temperature of the discharged product depends on the exhaust air temperature and is lower than the exhaust air temperature.
3. Colorful large touch screen operation, combining full automatic control with manual control, English and Chinese panel, parameter LCD display.
4. Simply press the stop button during shutdown; the machine will immediately stop running except for the fan. The heating section will not be damaged due to improper operation (forcefully turning off the fan).
4. The drying process is completed in an instant, with the product particles maintaining an approximate spherical shape of the droplets. The product exhibits good dispersibility, fluidity, and solubility.
5. Streamlined production process with easy operation control. Spray drying is commonly used for solvents with moisture content of 40-60%, and even materials with up to 90% moisture content can be dried into a powdered product in one go. Most products do not require further crushing or sieving after drying, reducing production steps and simplifying the production process. This also ensures product purity. Particle size, precision, and moisture content can be adjusted within a certain range by modifying operating conditions, making control and management straightforward.
6. To prevent contamination of materials and extend the lifespan of equipment, all parts in contact with materials are made of 304 stainless steel. For ease of operation, the control system is integrated, with indicator devices and on/off mechanisms installed in the control cabinet. All stainless steel components are easy to disassemble and clean.
7. Integrated oil-free air compressor, powder particle size distribution is normal, excellent fluidity, and extremely low noise, less than 60db, compliant with laboratory noise standards (optional centrifugal atomization).
