Chemical descaling cleaning process:
Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash piping lines to form a loop, creating a circulating system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, more acid solution is continuously added. For short-distance single ash water pipes, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculating loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out when the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.
Open road cleaning
No two gray pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only a single gray pipe can be used for open-loop cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the gray pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and then continuously or intermittently injecting it into the gray pipe. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous operation cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally without interruption, simultaneously adding a specific quantity of ash-pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent. This is an open-circuit cleaning method. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water and reducing the formation of air blockages, ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
Operation method: Prior to cleaning, estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate for the injection of corrosion inhibitors and pipeline cleaning descaler according to the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.
2. High-pressure water jet cleaning machinery
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers high efficiency, low costs, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
High-pressure water technology boasts the following advantages.
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipes and the internal holes of heat exchangers can completely remove scale and obstructions inside, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, is capable of destroying hard scale and obstructions without causing any damage to the metal.
The high-pressure water pressure is less than the tensile strength grade of the metal, so high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of jet washing, wedge splitting, shearing, and grinding, scale can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning process several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, simple mechanical, and manual methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical must be rinsed off with clean water.
(3) No Environmental Pollution: As high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not generate large amounts of dust like sandblasting, grit blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the air and harm health. Nor does it produce large quantities of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet, using pure water, is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. After atomization, it can also reduce the dust concentration in the work area, lowering atmospheric dust levels from 80mg/m³ with other methods to below the national safety standards, thus ensuring no pollution.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, it can be divided into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.
(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and pipe walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detached.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, approximately 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it severely degrades heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can also cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipeline explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeds up the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
