Chemical Cleaning Scale Removal Process
Recirculating closed-loop cleaning
Recirculation cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash removal pipelines to form a loop, creating a circulation system with the cleaning pump station. It involves adding a certain concentration of acidic solution, which circulates within the ash water pipeline for cleaning. As the acid washing reduces to a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished with more acid. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.

Pilot cleaning
No two ash pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only single-pipe open-circuit cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the mixing tank, and then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases the cost.

Continuous Operation Cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution into the ash pipe while operating at normal ash transportation without interruption, simultaneously adding a certain quantity of ash pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline cleaning descaler. This is an open-circuit cleaning method. The main function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and ash scale at a specific concentration and flow rate, while increasing its solubility in water, reducing airlock occurrences, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaner by considering the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stages of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water cleaning equipment:
High-pressure water jetting is used for cleaning, offering advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality - The high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipeline and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and blockages from within the pipes, revealing the metal surface. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, is fully capable of destroying tough scale and blockages without causing any damage to the metal.
Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined crushing effects of water jet scouring, splitting, shearing, and abrasion, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening techniques, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical must be rinsed off with clear water.

(3) No Environmental Pollution - Since high-pressure water jet cleaning uses clean water as the medium, it does not generate large amounts of dust like sandblasting, grit blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the air and harm health. Nor does it produce large quantities of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet, using clean water as the medium, is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. Pipe Water
(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: scale that is firmly adhered to the pot shell and pipe walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easy to detach.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, about 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can also easily damage metal materials due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion, and speeds up the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
