Description

Operating Principle:
  In large-scale industrial production, it is often necessary to evaporate a significant amount of water, which requires consuming a substantial amount of energy to heat water into steam. To reduce the consumption of heating steam, multiple-effect evaporation can be employed. Keda Shenglian evaporators are used across various fields, with the specific operation being: by introducing heating steam into an evaporator, the solution is heated and boils, producing secondary steam at a lower pressure and temperature than the original heating steam (or feed steam). This secondary steam can still be utilized. In multiple-effect evaporation, the secondary steam can be used as heating steam and introduced into another evaporator. As long as the pressure in the second evaporator's evaporating chamber and the boiling point of the solution are lower than those in the original evaporator, the introduced secondary steam can act as a heating source. Similarly, the new secondary steam produced by the second evaporator can serve as the heating steam for the third evaporator. In this way, each evaporator is referred to as a stage, and by connecting multiple evaporators to operate together, a multiple-effect evaporation system is formed. The evaporator to which feed steam is added is called the first stage, and the one utilizing the secondary steam from the first stage is called the second stage, and so on. This creates a recycling process, repeatedly utilizing heat energy, significantly reducing heat consumption. This greatly lowers costs and increases efficiency. With the current trendThe solution and steam flow in the same direction, sequentially from the first to the last stage. The raw liquid is pumped into the first stage and automatically flows into the next stage due to the pressure difference between stages. The liquid from the last stage (usually operated under vacuum) is pumped out. Because the pressure in the subsequent stage is lower, the boiling point of the solution is also lower. When the solution flows from the previous stage to the subsequent stage, some water vaporizes partially, resulting in a higher amount of secondary steam. Since the concentration in the subsequent stage is higher than in the previous stage and the operating temperature is lower, the heat transfer coefficient in the first stage is often much higher than in the last stage. The upstream process is generally suitable for handling heat-sensitive materials at high concentrations.

CounterflowMaterial is sequentially fed from the last stage to the first stage by a pump, with the liquid from the first stage discharged. The material and steam flow in opposite directions. Generally suitable for treating solutions with a high variation in viscosity with temperature and concentration, and not suitable for heat-sensitive materials.
Mixed flowIt combines the advantages of both upstream and downstream processes, avoiding their respective drawbacks, but requires complex operation and a high degree of self-control.
Laminar flowEach process yields a completed liquid with crystallization occurring, allowing for timely separation of crystals, generally used in the evaporation of saturated solutions.

2. Reduce Scaling Risk: The principle is demonstrated after the gas-liquid-solid three-phase flow enters the separator crystallizer. In the separator, the secondary steam is discharged through the secondary steam pipe, and the supersaturated solution undergoes thermal crystallization. Under the action of gravity, the solid-liquid phases are rapidly separated, and the turbid liquid and crystals do not enter the heater for heat exchange, effectively preventing scaling in the heater and friction or clogging between the crystals and the heating tube wall. 3. Energy Reduction: By setting different ascending flow rates based on the concentration of materials in each separator, we prevent scaling issues in the heat exchanger tubes of the heater while also reducing the power of the circulation pump, thereby saving energy.
