Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash pipeline sections to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reduces to a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished with more acid. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out while the system is offline, and it is complex and costly.

Preliminary Cleaning
No two ash pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only a single ash pipe can be used for open-circuit cleaning. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit and continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the liquid storage tank, then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.
Continuous operation cleaning
This process involves continuously injecting a specific amount of acidic fluid while the ash pipe is operating normally without interruption. At the same time, a certain quantity of ash-pipe operating cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent are added for cleaning. The cleaning process is conducted by opening the circuit. The primary role of the cleaning additive is to promote the reaction between the acidic fluid and ash deposits within a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water and reducing the occurrence of gas blockages, ensuring the quality of ash-pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: Prior to cleaning, estimate the required acid quantity based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaning agent according to the sludge water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, test the pH value at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water cleaning equipment for mechanical cleaning:

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of water jet scouring, wedging, shearing, and grinding, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require secondary cleaning; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface chemical agents must be rinsed off with clean water.
(3) No Environmental Pollution: Since high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not generate a large amount of dust like sandblasting, shot blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the atmosphere and harm health. (1) Categorized by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the primary components of sulfate and silicate scales are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is often a combination of the three types.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: a hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and pipe walls, and a loose sediment that is easy to detach.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium present in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, around 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale forms on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily lead to metal material damage due to localized overheating, even causing pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, leading to pipe lime scale corrosion and hastening the deterioration of the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using either mechanical or chemical methods.
