Chemical cleaning scale removal process:
Recirculating closed-loop cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash pipelines to form a loop, which, together with the cleaning pump station, creates a recirculation system. A solution of a certain acidity is added, and it circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, acid is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out when the system is shut down, and it is complex and costly.
Breakout Cleaning
No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only single ash pipe open-loop cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning device, continuously preparing a certain concentration of cleaning solution in the blending tank, and injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while the ash pipe is operating normally and not shut down, simultaneously adding a certain quantity of ash-pipe running cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent. This is an open-circuit cleaning. The main function of the cleaning aid is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the formation of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is as follows: Before cleaning, estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaner according to the sludge water flow and acidity. During cleaning, take a sample at the front end of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control it by adjusting the flow rate of acid addition. In the later stage of cleaning, take a sample at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
High-pressure water technology boasts the following advantages.
(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: High-pressure water jet cleaning of pipe and heat exchanger bores can completely remove scale and blockages inside, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, can fully destroy hard scale and blockages without causing any damage to the metal.
Since the pressure of high-pressure water is less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined fracturing effects of water jet washing, wedging, shearing, and grinding, scaling can be quickly broken and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening techniques, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Categorized by chemical composition, they include carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, etc. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is often a mixture of the above three types.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: scale that firmly adheres to the pot body and pipe walls, and sediment that is loose and easily dislodged.
Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts like calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. Lime scale has a very low thermal conductivity, about 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When lime scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it significantly worsens the heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to localized overheating, potentially leading to pipe explosion accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline lime scale corrosion and speeding up the damage to the heating surface. Once lime scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
