Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two original parallel ash removal pipelines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipeline for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, the acidic solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out during shutdown and is complex and costly.

Pilot Cleaning
No two ash pipes can form a loop during cleaning; only single ash pipe open-loop cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit and continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, then injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires adding cleaning equipment during shutdown, resulting in higher costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown
The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic solution while operating the ash conveying pipeline, simultaneously introducing a specific quantity of ash conveying pipeline operation cleaning inhibitor and pipeline cleaning descaler for open-loop cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning additive is to promote the reaction between the acidic solution and the ash scale at a certain concentration and flow rate, while also increasing its solubility in water, reducing the formation of air blockages, and ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the ash removal agent and pipeline cleaner based on the gray water flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take samples at the sampling point at the front end of the ash pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the flow rate of acid addition. In the later stage of cleaning, take samples at the end of the ash pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers advantages such as high efficiency, low cost, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
Advantages of high-pressure water technology include:
(1) Superior Cleaning Quality: During high-pressure water jet cleaning of pipe interiors and heat exchanger bores, all scale and blockages are thoroughly removed, revealing the metal surface. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and ultra-sonic velocity, can completely destroy stubborn scale and blockages, yet it has no detrimental effect on metal.
Due to the pressure of high-pressure water being less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the base material being cleaned.
(2) Fast Cleaning Speed: Due to the combined effects of jet washing, splitting, shearing, and abrasive cutting, scale can be quickly broken and removed, making the cleaning speed several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting, simple mechanical, and manual methods.
Components cleaned with high-pressure water jetting do not require a secondary cleaning process; however, after chemical cleaning, the surface must be rinsed with clean water.

(3) No Environmental Pollution: Since high-pressure water jet cleaning uses pure water as the medium, it does not generate a large amount of dust like sandblasting, shot blasting, or simple mechanical cleaning, which can pollute the atmosphere and harm health. It also does not produce a large volume of waste liquid like some chemical cleaning methods, which can contaminate rivers, soil, and water quality. The water jet cleaning with pure water as the medium is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic. After atomization, it can also reduce the dust concentration in the work area, lowering atmospheric dust from 80mg/m³ with other methods to below the national safety standards, thus causing no pollution.

Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, among others. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types of scales.

(2) Classified by physical properties, there are two types: scale that firmly adheres to the pot shell and tube walls, and sediment that is loosely textured and easily detached.
Scale primarily forms due to the salts containing calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, about 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. Scale buildup on the boiler heating surface significantly worsens heat transfer efficiency and affects the boiler's performance; it can easily cause metal materials to burn due to local overheating, potentially leading to pipe burst accidents; it also accelerates galvanic corrosion, causing pipeline scale corrosion and speeding up the damage to the heating surface. Once scale forms, it should be removed promptly using mechanical or chemical methods.
