◆Principle Overview◆
The SQ Shallow Media Filtration System consists of two standard high-speed filter modules. Water flows through the internal distributor and collector, benefiting various media, and can remove particulate matter and reduce turbidity. By adding specific filter materials, such as quartz sand and smokeless coal, it can also adsorb and remove corresponding ions.

◆SQ Surface Filter Media Filtration Principle◆
When the system is in filtration mode, pressurized water enters the distribution system from the filter tank inlet and evenly reaches the filter medium layer. As the water flows through the filter medium layer, suspended particles are retained by the filter medium. The bottom of the filter has a slotted collector, which evenly collects the filtered clean water and exits the filter.
As impurities continuously accumulate in the filter media layer, pressure loss progressively increases. The system automatically switches to backwashing when the pressure difference reaches a set value or when a scheduled cleaning is due. Pressurized water enters the filter media layer through a manifold, flushing it to dislodge and expel trapped pollutants from the filtration system. Backwashing continues for at least 2 minutes, after which the valves automatically return the system to the filtration state.
