PTFE Extracting Tank(Extraction boxes, extractors, and mixing clarification units) are a series of contact extraction equipment, consisting of a mixing system, mixing zone, clarification zone, and phase separation zone. In each stage, the two immiscible liquid phases are mixed, clarified, and phase-separated, thereby achieving mass transfer and separation of the target solute between different liquid phases.

Work Process
The specific operation process of the extraction tank (mixed clarification tank) involves the料液and extracting agent being pumped into the mixing chamber through their respective inlets by the feed pump. A high-speed stirrer then facilitates the mixing and mass transfer between the料液and extracting agent, after which the mixture flows through overflow baffles into the clarification chamber. Here, the two phases, light and heavy, separate under gravity. The separated phases then enter different outlets, completing the extraction process. In actual production, the extraction tank is typically a multi-stage series arrangement, including stages such as extraction, back-extraction, washing, and regeneration, depending on the production process.

Mixed Mass Transfer Process
Raw Material IntroductionThe feedstock liquid and solvent to be extracted are introduced into the mixing chamber of the extraction tank through their respective feed ports. For example, inHydrometallurgyIn this process, a water solution containing metal ions serves as the raw liquid, while an organic extracting agent is introduced as another liquid phase into the mixing chamber.
Agitate and MixThe mixing chamber is equipped with a blender that rotates at high speed, allowing the raw material liquid and extractant to fully contact and mix. Under the action of blending, the solute transfers from the raw material liquid to the extractant, forming a two-phase solution. The intensity and duration of blending have a significant impact on mass transfer efficiency; insufficient blending can result in incomplete contact between the two phases, reducing the efficiency; excessive blending may lead to emulsification, increasing the difficulty of subsequent separation.
Separation process
Overflow enters clarification chamberThe mixed liquid enters the clarification chamber through overflow baffles. The clarification chamber is a spacious room with a large cavity volume, providing ample space for the liquid to settle and separate.
Gravity Natural SeparationIn the clarification chamber, due to the different densities of the raw liquid and the extracting agent, under the action of gravity, the two phases gradually separate. The denser phase (usually the heavy phase) sinks to the bottom, while the less dense phase (usually the light phase) floats on top, forming a clear phase interface.
Partial contact reduces mass transfer efficiency; excessive stirring may lead to emulsification, increasing the difficulty of subsequent separation.

Key Features
● High efficiency level
●Simple Structure: The extraction tank typically consists of a tank body, interface adjusting tube, motor reducer, stirrer shaft, impeller, speed controller, and a movable platform, etc., with a relatively simple structure.
●Stable Operation and Strong Adaptability: Due to the larger volume of the extraction tank and the higher liquid storage capacity, it can accommodate fluctuations in the material liquid within a certain range. After adjustment and balance, the operation is relatively stable and highly adaptable.
● Scalable Reliability: Single-stage extraction rates and other design parameters remain relatively reliable after scaling up.
