Physical and Chemical Properties

Extraction performance
(1) Metal Extraction Sequence

Extraction Conditions: 0.5M272, Extraction Agent -260# Solvent Oil, c(M"+)=
0.02M, T=450°C, O/A=1:1, Sulfate root medium, pH Adjuster: Sulfuric Acid, Contact Time: 5 min.
(2) Several organophosphorus/*Acidic Nickel/Cobalt Separation Performance Comparison

Extraction Conditions: 22% v/o Extractant-260# solvent oil; O/A ratio = 1, pH = 5.0, T = 50°C.
From the table above, it can be seen that 272 has a high separation coefficient for nickel/cobalt, requiring fewer stages of extraction for separating Ni and Co, resulting in lower initial investment for equipment and extractants. The resulting nickel salt product has a high purity and is suitable for the purification of nickel.
(3) Non-Calcium Extraction Performance

When the liquid contains Ca2+, P204 and P507 as extractants exhibit strong extraction capacity for calcium, which easily forms calcium scaling during the back-extraction stage. However, 272 has significantly better extraction capabilities for Co²+ and Mn²+ than for Ca, thus preventing scaling of gypsum in the sulfuric acid medium extraction system, reducing emulsification, and consequently minimizing the loss of the extractant.
