Testing Principle:A friction coefficient gauge involves placing one material flat on the test platform and the other attached to a slider of a certain weight. The two test surfaces are placed side by side, and under a specific contact pressure, the surfaces are made to move relative to each other while recording the required frictional force. The friction coefficient is calculated by dividing the tested force by the weight of the slider.
Testing Standards:GB 10006-1998 Plastic Films and Sheets - Determination of Coefficient of Friction; ISO 8295-1995 Plastics - Films and Sheets - Determination of Coefficient of Friction; ASTM D 1894 - 01 Test Methods for Static and Dynamic Coefficient of Friction of Plastic Films and Sheets; TAPPI T816 Static Friction Coefficient of Corrugated and Solid Fiber Boards.
