Electrofusion fittings are plastic (polyethylene) pipe accessories that can be melted and connected by the heat produced through electrical current.

Tools required for construction: pipe cutting machine; grinder (polishing disc), marker pen; electric melting welder (compliant with ISO 12176-2). Recommended models: Jinan Batada 315A type (for diameters under 200mm) or Tianjin Zhengwei welder.

Install plastic composite pipe materials for wire mesh and perforated steel belt require: pipe cutting machine; trimming blade, grinder (polishing disc), marking pen; electric fusion welder (compliant with ISO 12176-2). Recommended: Jinan Bada 315A type (for diameters below 200) or Tianjin Zhengwei welder.

Installation and usage steps are as follows:
Vertically cut pipe material, remove the surface oxide layer from the position where the pipe is to be inserted into the electrofusion fittings using a scraper. Mark the depth of insertion of the electrofusion fitting on the pipe surface with a marker pen. Insert the pipe into the electrofusion fitting until it reaches the marked depth. After installation, align the pipe's axis with the electrofusion fitting. Secure the pipe and fitting with clamps to prevent misalignment and loosening during welding.

Installation and construction precautions:
During installation, the inner wall of the electric fusion fittings and the fusion area of the pipe material must be free from organic matter and other contaminants. When welding the fittings, maintain a safe distance until the welding has cooled for 30 seconds. Adjust according to the temperature and working voltage of the site environment. Insulate the electric fusion fittings well to prevent heat loss. In environments with significant temperature differences, use straighteners and other tools to secure the pipe materials on both sides of the electric fusion fittings to avoid heat expansion and contraction affecting the welding quality. Appropriately compensate for the welding time during welding. Input a matched power source according to the requirements of the electric fusion welder. The farther the distance from the electric fusion welder, the larger the wire diameter of the power supply cable is required to avoid under-voltage affecting the welding quality. During pipe installation, ensure the elbows and tees are properly supported and braced or mounted on supports, and make appropriate pipe compensation. The pipe material burial must be below the frozen soil layer. During installation and welding, the pipe cannot be soaked in water. When the temperature is low, do not move the pipes and fittings during the cooling process.
