Chemical Cleaning Scale Removal Process

Recirculating Closed Loop Cleaning

Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash line pipes to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A solution of a certain concentration is added, which circulates within the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reduces to a certain extent, the acid solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. This process must be carried out when the system is shut down, and it is complex with higher costs.

Preliminary Cleaning

No two ash pipes should form a loop during cleaning; only single-pipe open circuit cleaning is allowed. The method involves connecting one end of the ash pipe to the cleaning unit, continuously preparing a specific concentration of cleaning solution in the dosing tank, and injecting it into the ash pipe continuously or intermittently. This process requires the addition of cleaning equipment during shutdown, which increases costs.

Continuous cleaning without shutdown

The process involves continuously injecting a certain amount of acidic fluid while operating under normal ash输送 conditions, simultaneously introducing a specified quantity of ash输送 pipe cleaning inhibitor and pipeline descaling agent, and performing open-loop cleaning. The primary role of the cleaning aids is to facilitate the reaction between the acidic fluid and ash deposits within a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water and reducing airlock formation, ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.

The procedure is as follows: Prior to cleaning, estimate the required acid quantity based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the sludge pipeline by considering the flow rate of the gray water and acidity. During the cleaning process, take samples at the sampling point at the front of the gray pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity and strictly control it by adjusting the flow rate of acid addition. In the later stages of cleaning, take samples at the end of the gray pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning can be deemed complete.

2. High-pressure water jet cleaning equipment
High-pressure water jet cleaning offers high efficiency, low costs, non-damaging to workpieces, environmental friendliness, ease of operation, and safety.
The advantages of high-pressure water technology include:

(1) Excellent Cleaning Quality: The high-pressure water jet cleaning method for pipes and the inner holes of heat exchangers can completely remove scale and blockages inside, revealing the metal substrate. The high-pressure water jet, with its immense energy and supersonic speed, is fully capable of destroying tough scale and blockages without causing any damage to the metal.

Since the pressure of high-pressure water is less than the compressive strength grade of metal, high-pressure cleaning will not damage the substrate being cleaned.

(2) Fast Cleaning Speed - Due to the combined actions of jet washing, wedging, shearing, and abrasion, scale can be quickly disintegrated and removed, which is several to ten times faster than traditional chemical methods, sandblasting and shot peening, simple mechanical, and manual cleaning methods.

3. Pipe Scale

(1) Classified by chemical composition, they can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the main components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively.

Lime scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating.
