Recirculating Closed Circuit Cleaning
Recirculating cleaning utilizes two existing parallel ash removal pipelines to form a loop, creating a recirculation system with the cleaning pump station. A certain concentration of acidic solution is added, which circulates through the ash water pipes for cleaning. As the acid washing reaches a certain level, the solution is continuously replenished. For short-distance single ash water pipelines, if conditions permit, a temporary pipeline can be laid to form a recirculation loop for cleaning. Non-stop cleaning
The process involves continuously injecting a specific amount of acidic fluid while simultaneously adding a certain quantity of cleaning inhibitor for the conveying pipe and pipeline descaler, performing open-loop cleaning. The primary function of the cleaning aids is to promote the reaction between the acidic fluid and the ash scale within a certain concentration and flow rate, while also enhancing its solubility in water and reducing the occurrence of air blockage, ensuring the quality of ash pipe cleaning.
The procedure is: Before cleaning, first estimate the required acid amount based on the total scale in the pipeline. Then, calculate the acid addition rate and the flow rate of the descaling agent and pipeline cleaner based on the sludge flow rate and acidity. During cleaning, take samples at the front of the sludge pipe every 30 minutes to test the acidity, and strictly control the acidity by adjusting the acid flow rate. In the later stage of cleaning, take samples at the end of the sludge pipe every 15 minutes to test the pH value. When the pH value reaches a certain level and remains unchanged for 30 minutes, the cleaning process can be deemed complete.

3. Pipe Scale
(1) Classified by chemical composition, it can be categorized into carbonate scale, sulfate scale, silicate scale, and mixed scale, among others. The main components of carbonate scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate; the primary components of sulfate scale and silicate scale are calcium sulfate and silicate compounds, respectively; mixed scale is usually a mixture of the above three types.
(2) Categorized by physical properties, there are two types: hard scale that firmly adheres to the pot and tube walls, and loose sediment that is easy to dislodge.
Scale primarily forms due to the salts of calcium and magnesium present in the boiler feed water, which precipitate and adhere to the metal surface upon heating. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, around 2 to 5 times that of ordinary steel. When scale accumulates on the boiler's heating surface, it severely impairs heat transfer efficiency, affecting the boiler's performance; it can easily lead to the burnout of metal materials due to localized overheating, even causing tube explosion accidents; it accelerates galvanic corrosion, leading to pipeline scale corrosion and hastening the damage to the heating surface. Once scale forms, it should be promptly removed using mechanical or chemical methods.
