I. Description:
This series of pedestal supports conforms to the national standard of the People's Republic of China for "Pedestal Supports for Highway Bridges" (GB/T391-2009). The general design drawings of the series are named as the General Drawing Series for Ball-type Supports of Highway Bridges, with the general drawing code GPZ (09T) 1500~60000 (DC, SX, GD), and the series of support models are GPZ (2009) 0.4~060 (DC, SX, GD).

Section 3: Design Parameters
1. Vertical bearing capacity of the support design: 0.4MN to 60MN.
The series of support specifications are divided into 33 levels based on the vertical load-bearing capacity, namely: 0.40MN, 0.6MN, 0.8MN, 1MN, 1.5MN, 2MN, 2.5MN, 3MN, 3.5MN, 4MN, 5MN, 6MN, 7MN, 8MN, 9MN, 10MN, 12.5MN, 15MN, 17.5MN, 20.5MN, 22.5MN, 25MN, 27.5MN, 30MN, 32.5MN, 35MN, 37.5MN, 40MN, 45MN, 50MN, 55MN, 60MN.
2. Large pivot angle of bracket design: 0.02 rad.
3. Base level design load-bearing capacity: The horizontal design load-bearing capacity of fixed bases and single-motion sliding bases in the non-slip direction is 10% of the vertical design load-bearing capacity of the bases.
4. Support Friction Coefficient: The friction coefficient for the normal temperature type sliding support is 0.03, and for the cold-resistant type sliding support, it is 0.06.
