The GPZ (III) shock-absorbing basin-type rubber bearing is a new type of bridge bearing with energy-dissipation and shock-absorbing functions, suitable for bridge engineering in regions with a basic intensity of 8. It retains the advantages of the original basin-type rubber bearing, such as high bearing capacity, flexible rotation, and low building height. Furthermore, a steel lining plate with a shock-absorbing plate on its upper surface is added to the rubber plate, and an upper shock-absorbing plate is placed on the bottom surface of the central steel plate or the basin plug of the fixed bearing. Additionally, a rubber damping ring is installed in the slot of the upper edge of the bearing steel basin. As a result, a dry friction surface is formed between the top plate of the bearing and the steel lining plate above the rubber plate, or between the upper and lower shock-absorbing plates. Under the action of seismic horizontal forces, the dry friction surface can slide, dissipating seismic energy. Normally, the dry friction surface does not slip, and the damping rubber ring does not undergo compression deformation. Moreover, the rubber damping ring set on the upper edge of the bearing steel basin undergoes compression deformation under the action of seismic force and other horizontal loads, allowing the seismic energy to be released.
In addition to its energy-absorbing and shock-absorbing properties, since the intermediate steel plate or the lower part of the pot plug is positioned within the steel bowl of the support, there will be no beam dropping during an earthquake. Post-earthquake, the impact on the bridge pier or abutment will also not be significantly great.
1. Classified by performance usage:
① The single-acting bearing is designated as DX.
② The fixed bracket is designated as GD.
2. Technical Performance:
① The bearing reaction (vertical bearing capacity) is divided into 31 levels (0.8-60MN): 0.8, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30, 32.5, 35, 37.5, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60MN.
② Support design angle: 0.02 rad.
③ One-way bearing design friction coefficient: After adding silicone grease lubrication during non-earthquake conditions, the friction coefficient for the normal temperature bearing design is a small value of 0.03, and for the cold-resistant bearing design, the friction coefficient is a small value of 0.06.
④ Horizontal bearing capacity of the support: The horizontal force in all directions for fixed supports and in the non-sliding direction (perpendicular to the long fill direction of the guide block) for one-way sliding supports, which is 20% of the vertical bearing capacity of the support design.
