Product Description:

A distillation column (packed tower) is a tower-type gas-liquid contacting device used for distillation. It utilizes the property that different components of a mixture have varying volatility, i.e., their vapor pressures are different at the same temperature. This allows the lighter components (low-boiling substances) in the liquid phase to transfer to the gas phase, and the heavier components (high-boiling-point substances) in the gas phase to transfer to the liquid phase, thereby achieving separation. The distillation column is also a widely used mass transfer and heat transfer device in laboratories and petrochemical production.
