A spray dryer works by passing air through a filter and a heating unit, then into the top of the drying chamber, where it is evenly distributed by a hot air distributor. The hot air spirals inside the chamber, while the liquid material is delivered to a spray nozzle mounted at the top. The liquid is sprayed into fine droplets, significantly increasing the surface area for contact with the hot air, causing rapid evaporation of moisture and quick drying of the product. Coarser products are collected in a hopper at the bottom of the dryer, and exhaust gas is discharged by a centrifugal fan.
THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
1. Rapid drying speed. After being atomized, the liquid's surface area is significantly increased, allowing for the evaporation of 95-98% of moisture in the high-temperature air stream almost instantly, with the drying process taking just a few seconds.
2. Utilizing co-current spray drying, the temperature of the liquid droplets during the drying process remains low, ensuring high product quality. Inside the spray drying chamber, the liquid droplets flow in the same direction as the hot air. Although the hot air temperature is higher, the immediate contact between the hot air and the spray liquid upon entering the chamber causes a rapid drop in the indoor temperature, preventing excessive heating of the dried material. This method is suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials. The temperature of the discharged product depends on the exhaust air temperature and is lower than the exhaust air temperature.
3. Colorful large touch screen operation, combining full automatic control with manual control, featuring both English and Chinese panels with LCD parameter display.
4. Simply press the stop button to shut down; the machine will immediately cease operation except for the fan. The heating section will not be damaged due to improper operation (forcefully shutting off the fan).
4. The drying process is completed instantaneously, with the product particles maintaining an approximate spherical shape of the droplets. The product exhibits good dispersibility, fluidity, and solubility.
5. Simplified production process with easy operation control. Spray drying is commonly used for solvents with a moisture content of 40-60%, and even for special materials with a moisture content as high as 90%, it can be dried into a powdered product in one go. Most products do not require further crushing or screening after drying, reducing production steps and simplifying the production process. This enhances product purity. The particle size, precision, and moisture content of the product can be adjusted by changing operating conditions within a certain range, making control and management convenient.
6. To prevent contamination of materials and extend the lifespan of equipment, all parts that come into contact with materials are made of 304 stainless steel. For ease of operation, an integrated control system is used, featuring indicator devices and on/off mechanisms installed within the control cabinet. All stainless steel components are easy to disassemble and clean.
7. Equipped with an oil-free air compressor, the particle size of the powder is normally distributed, with excellent fluidity and very low noise, less than 60db, meeting laboratory noise standards (optional centrifugal atomization).

10. Feed quantity can be freely adjusted via a feed peristaltic pump, and a magnetic stirrer is optional.
11. Spray Dryers for sticky materials are equipped with a nozzle cleaner (needle), which automatically clears blockages from the nozzle. The frequency of the needle can be automatically adjusted.
