Vacuum centrifugal concentrators are used for sample preparation and analysis in fields such as chemistry, biology, and pharmaceuticals. In life sciences, these instruments are commonly employed for separating and concentrating proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules. Vacuum centrifugal concentration is a process that evaporates solvents to concentrate or dry biological (non-biological) samples. By combining centrifugal force, vacuum, and heating, the solvents in the sample are rapidly evaporated, achieving the goal of concentrating the sample for easier analysis and detection in subsequent experiments.
Principle:By vacuum-pumping to lower the pressure inside the cavity, the boiling point of the solvent is reduced. As the pressure decreases, the boiling point of the solution follows suit, causing the solution to start boiling when the pressure reaches a certain level. Simultaneously, the sample is continuously centrifuged, keeping the solution collected at the bottom of the centrifuge tube, thereby preventing sample contamination and loss due to boiling. Solvent vapor is condensed into liquid by the low-temperature cold trap, captured by the trap, and can protect the vacuum pump, extending its service life. Moreover, the sample is always kept in a low-temperature and vacuum environment, which can prevent inactivation and oxidation of heat-sensitive samples.
