PSG - Gas-Solid Injector

I. Overview:

The PSG series gas-solids jet nozzles feature simple structure, reliable operation, significant energy savings, minimal maintenance, low construction and operation costs, and high level of automation. In recent years, they have proven to be an ideal equipment for low-pressure continuous conveying in the powder transportation processes of power plants, cement, chemicals, building materials, metallurgy, food, and feed industries.

II. Principle and Features:

Principle:

PSG Series Gas-Solid Jet Injector, powered by centrifugal fans (air compressors, Roots blowers), utilizes the gas-solid two-phase flow principle. It combines fluidization technology, jet technology, and pressure difference principle. The electric rotating feeder serves as the feeding device, delivering material into the material-gas mixing chamber. As the material becomes fluidized in the mixing chamber, a high-speed airflow generated by the double-looped nozzle propels the material into the acceleration chamber. It enters the conveying pipeline as a suspended flow and is propelled into the receiving bin using the gas pressure difference. Material-gas separation occurs, and after passing through a bag dust collector, the gas is released into the atmosphere.

The low-pressure continuous conveying system composed of PSG series gas-solid injectors not only demonstrates cost-effectiveness in terms of construction investment but also boasts low operating costs. Due to the absence of feed and exhaust valves, as well as no fragile parts, operation expenses are minimized. Additionally, using low-pressure conveying saves approximately 30% of energy compared to compressed air system conveying.

2. User-friendly

The equipment's main body control consists only of an electrically operated rotating feeder and an inlet valve, so the main body control requires only "start" or "shutdown" operations. The equipment operation only necessitates periodic inspection and does not require manual supervision. Due to the simplicity of the continuous pump process system, the configured control system is accordingly simple. Based on the system configuration, even if a PLC control system is used, in the event of a fault, the alarm system is in place, and manual control is possible, which does not affect the normal operation of the system.

3. Low equipment and pipeline wear, with extended service life

Due to low-pressure conveying, the flow velocity within the equipment and ash conveying pipes is low, and the conveying concentration remains constant. Consequently, the system's equipment and pipelines experience minimal wear and have a long service life.

4. System deployment is convenient and flexible.

Due to its compact size and low installation height, this equipment is easy to install and highly flexible, fully meeting the engineering layout requirements.

5. Not strict requirements for the quality of the gas source.

Continuous pump-powered air source typically uses centrifugal blowers or Roots blowers along with compressors; no air purification system is needed. The system design dictates specific requirements for air volume and pressure only. In certain cases, a pressure station air source can also be used.

6. High system reliability

The PSG series gas-solid jet nozzles are powered by centrifugal fans or Roots blowers and compressors, with the high performance of the fans ensuring the reliability of the system's operation.

The PSG series gas-solid jet injector-powered pneumatic conveying system, under the condition of allowable fly ash quantity on-site, can adopt a configuration where two ash bins share one pump. Typically, this results in fewer equipment pieces, making the entire system simple and reliable.
