Fiberglass absorption towers, compared to general absorption towers at home and abroad, feature high purification efficiency, compact structure, attractive appearance, small land occupation, excellent corrosion and aging resistance, high strength, lightweight, easy transportation and installation, and convenient maintenance. They are a new type of purification equipment for electroplating, pickling, and waste gas treatment in the chemical, mechanical, electronic, metallurgical, and instrument industries, both domestically and internationally.

1. Reliable purification efficiency
During the trial production process, the company conducted simulation production tests on the representative models DGS-5, DGS-7.5, and DGS-20 of the series, which cover three specifications of purification towers, three times in total. A large amount of data was collected. After analysis and organization, the average purification rate of the gas exceeded 95%, and the sulfuric acid mist reached 90%-95%.
2. Reasonable structural design
The DGS series acid mist purification towers use sodium hydroxide solution as the absorption and neutralizing liquid. Acid mist waste gas is forced into the middle section of the tower by a fan, forming a pressure chamber, which is then evenly distributed to each bubble tube by a pressure intensifier. The waste gas enters the absorption and neutralizing liquid in the storage tank through the bubble tubes, causing bubbles to form. The bubbles pass through a filter material ring layer, allowing for a thorough recontact between the gas and liquid. After desiccation by the desiccation fan, the gas is then released into the atmosphere. Based on the above design principles, improvements have been made to the structure of conventional fiberglass purification towers, including the following measures:
(1) Eliminated the recirculating pump system of a typical purification tower.
(2) A new filter material, a circular patterned annulus with a larger specific surface area, higher perforation rate, uniformly distributed holes, regular arrangement, and minimal channel retention, has been adopted to replace the commonly used Baole ring filter material in China.
3. The glass fiber tower body is reliable in quality and performs well.
Based on the working environment of each component of the purification tower, high alkali resistance and high structural strength resins are selected, with the exterior using waterproof and aging-resistant gel coat resins. To enhance the tower's strength, several longitudinal reinforcing plates are employed on the tower's outer shell, and a combined structure of cylindrical double-tube sections and segmented sheets is adopted according to the size of various models. Since the purification tower operates in an acidic and alkaline corrosive gas environment for a long time, in addition to the pressure of the tower body and the liquid pressure, it also needs to withstand wind pressure during operation (total pressure of the fan at 200-250H2O). Therefore, after fully considering and excluding the strength reduction coefficient under strong corrosion and the dispersion performance of the hand-laid-up molding process, our company has designed the entire glass fiber reinforced plastic components to have excellent corrosion resistance while maintaining high tensile and compressive strength. This is achieved by ensuring a sufficient reserve strength for the tower structure and operating environment under particularly harsh working conditions.
