1. Reliable purification efficiency
During the trial production process, the company conducted simulation production tests on three representative models of purification towers in the series, the DGS-5, DGS-7.5, and DGS-20, in three different specifications. A substantial amount of data was collected, which, after analysis and organization, yielded an average purification rate of over 95% for the gases, with sulfuric acid mist reaching 90%-95%.
2. Reasonable structural design
The DGS series acid mist purification towers use sodium hydroxide solution as the absorption and neutralization liquid. Acid mist waste gas is forced into the middle section of the purification tower by a fan, forming a pressure chamber, which is then evenly distributed to each bubbling pipe by the pressure chamber. The waste gas enters the absorption and neutralization liquid in the storage tank through the bubbling pipes, causing bubbles to form. The bubbles pass through the filter material ring layer, allowing for further intimate contact between the gas and liquid. After the gas is dehydrated by the dehydrating fan, it is then released into the atmosphere. Based on the above design principles, the structure of the general glass fiber reinforced plastic purification tower has been improved, and the following measures have been taken:
(1) Eliminated the circulating pump system typically found in standard purification towers.
(2) A new filter material, a circular ring with a large specific surface area, high perforation rate, uniform holes, regular arrangement, and minimal groove retention, has been adopted to replace the commonly used Baur ring filter material in China.
3. The fiberglass tower body is of reliable quality and excellent performance.
Based on the working environments of various components within the purification tower, high alkaline resistance and structural strength resins were selected, with a weather-resistant and anti-aging coating resin used on the exterior. To enhance the tower's strength, longitudinal reinforcing disks were employed on the tower's outer shell, and a combined structure of cylindrical double-tube sections and segmented sheets was adopted according to the dimensions of various models. As the purification tower operates in an acidic and alkaline corrosive gas environment for extended periods, in addition to the pressure from the tower's own structure and the liquid pressure, it also needs to withstand wind pressure during operation (total pressure of the fan at 200-250H2O). Therefore, all glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) components must possess excellent corrosion resistance and maintain high tensile and compressive strength. After thorough consideration and elimination of the strength reduction coefficient under strong corrosion and the dispersion characteristics of the hand lay-up molding process, our company has designed the entire GFRP component structure to withstand particularly harsh working conditions and ensures an adequate reserve of strength.
