1. Reliable purification efficiency
During the trial production process, the company conducted three rounds of simulation production tests on the representative DGS-5, DGS-7.5, and DGS-20 models of the series, in three different specifications of purification towers. A substantial amount of data was collected, which, after analysis and organization, showed an average purification rate of the gas over 95%, and sulfuric acid mist reaching 90%-95%.
2. Reasonable structural design
The DGS series acid mist purification towers utilize sodium hydroxide solution as the absorbent neutralizing liquid. Acid mist waste gas is forced into the middle inner cylinder of the purification tower by a fan, forming a pressure chamber, which is then evenly distributed to each bubble tube by a pressure intensifier. The waste gas enters the absorbent neutralizing liquid in the storage tank through the bubble tubes, causing bubbles to form. The bubbles pass through a filter media layer, allowing for a thorough gas-liquid contact. After undergoing desiccation by the desiccation fan, the gas is then released into the atmosphere. Based on the above design principles, improvements have been made to the structure of conventional glass fiber reinforced plastic purification towers, including the following measures:
(1) Eliminated the recirculating pump system typically found in standard purification towers.
(2) A new filter material, a round patterned annulus with a larger specific surface area, higher perforation rate, uniform holes, regular arrangement, and minimal channel retention, has been adopted to replace the commonly used Baur ring filter material in China.
3. The fiberglass tower body is of reliable quality and excellent performance.
Based on the working environment of each component of the purification tower, high alkali resistance and high structural strength resins were selected, with a weather-resistant and aging-resistant gel-coated resin used on the exterior. To enhance the tower's strength, several longitudinal reinforcing plates were employed on the outer shell, and a combined structure of cylindrical double-tube sections and segmented pieces was adopted according to the size of various models. Since the purification tower operates in an acidic and alkaline corrosive gas environment for an extended period, it must withstand not only the pressure from the tower itself and the liquid pressure but also the wind pressure during operation (total pressure of the fan at 200-250H2O). Therefore, all glass fiber reinforced plastic components must have excellent corrosion resistance and maintain high tensile and compressive strengths. After thoroughly considering and eliminating the strength reduction coefficient under strong corrosion and the dispersion characteristics of the hand-laid-up molding process, our company has designed the entire glass fiber reinforced plastic components to withstand particularly harsh working conditions and to have ample reserve strength.
