The bottom of the closed ceiling deck is flat, with the web plate fitting closely, leaving an approximate gap of 3-5mm. It can be directly painted to form a tongue-and-groove ceiling (similar to aluminum ceiling tiles), coated with putty and then painted with water-based paint to create a flat ceiling, or directly lined with wall fabric or wallpaper to decorate as a colored ceiling, catering to various aesthetic preferences. In contrast, the open ceiling deck is concave and convex, giving a bumpy appearance.
Closed deck panels are widely used in skyscrapers, train stations, gymnasiums, and office floors. When selecting them, consider the model, which is determined by the wave height of the deck panels, and the wave height is decided by the height of the concrete pouring. Next, look at the thickness, which is determined by the steel beams beneath the panels. Generally, steel beams should not exceed 3 meters; for smaller buildings, they may reach only 1 to 2 meters, or even less than 1 meter. That is to say, when choosing closed deck panels, also consider the places they will be used. The correct choice will meet the requirements.
What is the difference between open-web and closed-web joists?
Friction coefficient. Floor deck (steel deck, building profiled steel plate) is made by cold bending into V-shaped, U-shaped, trapezoidal, or similar wave shapes from galvanized steel plate. It is mainly used as a formwork template and can also be selected for other applications. Floor deck is also known as composite floor deck, floor plate, or steel deck. Wan Cheng composite floor deck, profiled steel plate. Floor deck is an important supporting product for steel structure buildings, mainly divided into open floor deck, closed floor deck, tapered dovetail floor deck, and reinforced steel truss floor deck. Honglu Steel Structure has introduced dozens of floor deck production lines, with a complete range of plate types and specifications, providing services for multi-story steel structure buildings. Characteristics include: 1. Light weight, high strength, good bearing capacity, and seismic performance.
2. Simple and quick construction, easy assembly
3. Replace traditional templates, improve the shortcomings of traditional templates.
4. Can serve as part of the structural strength, reducing material sheet load.
5. Easy for reinforcement, wiring, and piping installation.
Closed form deck reinforcement requirements
1. The base material for closed profiled metal sheets should be cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel plates or strips, with dimensions and shapes as well as allowable deviations in accordance with GB/T 708 or GB/T 709 specifications.
2. Hot-dip galvanized sheets, hot-dip aluminum-zinc coated sheets, and color coated sheets can all be rolled into closed-profiled metal sheets directly. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of the hot-dip galvanized and hot-dip aluminum-zinc coated sheets should comply with the requirements of GB/T 2518 and GB/T 14978.
3. Closed-profile pressed metal sheets are recommended to use commonly used grades such as S250GD, S280GD, S320GD, S350GD, etc., for structural hot-dip galvanized, hot-dip galvalume, or color coated steel sheets. The yield strength can be referenced according to the provisions of GB/T2518.
4. Closed-profile corrugated metal sheets are made of structural hot-dip galvanized, hot-dip galvalume, or color-coated steel plates of S410GD grade, with a yield strength of 410 N/mm².Or, samples are determined by tensile testing.
5. Closed-profile corrugated metal sheets are mainly made from various types of thin steel plates or strips, such as hot-dip galvanized steel, hot-dip aluminum-zinc coated steel, and color-coated steel.
6. When using closed-profile corrugated metal sheets as composite floor panels, hot-dip galvanized steel sheets should be selected, with the net thickness of the metal sheet base not less than 0.75 mm.
7. When using closed-profile corrugated metal sheets as templates for composite floor decks, the net thickness of the metal sheet base should not be less than 0.5mm.
8. The coating (zinc, zinc-aluminum) on the substrate should be applied using the hot-dip method. The coating weight should be guaranteed as a supply condition according to demand and specified in the purchase contract. When the tongue-and-groove shaped metal sheet is used only as a template, the double-sided coating weight should not be less than 120g/m².When used as a composite floor, the closed-profile corrugated metal sheet should have a double-sided galvanized weight of not less than 180g/m².'。
9. When using coated steel plates for closed-profile pressed metal sheets, the technical requirements such as the type, performance, quality, and inspection methods of the coatings on the coated plates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 12754.
10. For galvanized, galvalume, and coated steel sheets used in closed-profile corrugated metal sheets, all quality documents (chemical composition, mechanical properties, thickness, coating weight, and coating thickness) should be inspected.
Compared to a combination of closed-bottom deck panels and open-section steel deck panels, the use of closed-bottom deck panels can eliminate the need for fire-resistant coating on the bottom of the panels, completely replace the lower steel reinforcement, and reduce the thickness of the floor slab, saving concrete usage. The suspended system of the closed-bottom deck panels also helps save on the installation costs of mechanical and electrical piping. Moreover, due to these advantages, processing speed can be significantly increased, shortening the construction period. Therefore, using closed-bottom deck panels can reduce both direct construction costs and pipeline expenses.
Our company, while adhering to technological innovation, rigorously focuses on quality management, continuously enhances service levels, and has established itself as a highly capable manufacturer of roofing systems in the central and western regions.
