The Resistance Silencer differs from the Absorptive Silencer in its noise reduction principle. It does not directly absorb sound energy but utilizes the abrupt interfaces on the piping or the adjacent resonant cavities to cause reflections and interference of certain frequency sound waves propagating along the pipeline, thereby achieving the purpose of noise reduction.
The mufflers are divided into expansion chamber type and resonant type. In actual sound control engineering, sound is often in a wide frequency band, so it is common to combine resistive sound absorption and reactive sound suppression structures to control high-intensity wideband sound.
Working Principle:
Based on the frequency-temperature characteristics obtained from actual tests of industrial fan noise sources, the required sound absorption level for the design of acoustic absorbers and fluid channels is determined within certain ranges. Additionally, block rectangular channels with large acoustic material surfaces are used to enhance absorption effects. Furthermore, during the noise design of fans, there are not only one but several critical frequencies, and the noise reduction requirements vary for different frequencies. Therefore, the F series ventilation duct silencers and induced draft fan silencers are both of impedance type, utilizing resistive structures for high and medium frequencies and resistive structures for medium and low frequencies to achieve noise reduction. In the resistive channels, both high and low-frequency absorption zones are employed to maximize the broadband noise reduction. The series of ventilation duct silencers and induced draft fan silencers are suitable for various centrifugal fans, axial fans, roof ventilators, and air compressors.

The standardized organization (ISO) sets the noise standard for such equipment at ≤90 decibels, which is consistent with our country's new standard, serving as the basis for industrial enterprises to meet continuous noise standards. However, without noise reduction measures, the noise emitted from the fan's intake and exhaust openings can reach 110-120 decibels, far exceeding the required standards. This series of silencers is of impedance type. Our factory determines the required noise reduction in various frequency ranges based on actual test data of noise sources from various types of fans in power plants, which is the primary basis for designing the structure of the acoustic absorption panels and fluid channels. Additionally, we use narrow rectangular channels with a large acoustic absorption material surface to enhance the absorption effect. We know that the sound source of the fan has various frequency values at different sound levels, and the noise reduction requirements for different frequency bands are also different. Therefore, this product employs resistive silencers that effectively reduce high and mid-frequency sounds.
Incorporating an anti-resonant structure that effectively dampens mid and low-frequency sounds, the design also employs both high and low-frequency damping zones within the resistive channel to.. broaden the damping frequency range to the maximum extent, achieving excellent sound-dampening performance. Once installed according to specifications, the product's maximum sound level will not exceed 85-90 dB.
