
Electro-fused fittings refer to plastic (polyethylene) pipe accessories that can be melted and fused for connection through the heat generated by an electric current.
Tools required for construction: pipe cutting machine; grinder (polishing disc), marker pen; electric fusion welder (compliant with ISO 12176-2). Recommended models: Jinan Batada 315A type (below 200mm diameter) or Tianjin Zhengwei welder.
To install steel wire mesh plastic composite pipe and perforated steel strip plastic composite pipe materials, the following equipment is required: pipe cutting machine; trimming knife, polishing machine (polishing disc), marking pen; electric fusion welder (compliant with ISO 12176-2). It is recommended to use: Jinan Bada 315A type (below 200mm diameter) or Tianjin Zhengwei welder.
Installation and usage steps are as follows:
Vertically cut the pipe material, remove the surface oxide layer from the position where the pipe will be inserted into the electric fusion fitting using a scraper. Mark the depth of the insertion on the pipe surface with a marker pen according to the depth of the electric fusion fitting. Insert the pipe into the fitting until it reaches the marked depth. After installation, align the pipe's axis with the fitting. Secure the pipe and fitting with clamps to prevent misalignment and loosening during the welding process.
Installation and construction precautions:
During installation, the inner wall of the electric fusion fittings and the melting zone of the pipe material must be free from organic matter and other contaminants. When welding pipe fittings, maintain a safe distance until the welding is cooled for 30 seconds. Adjust according to the temperature and working voltage variations in the field environment. Ensure adequate insulation for the electric fusion fittings, especially in environments with significant temperature differences between day and night. Use straighteners and other tools to securely fasten the pipe materials on both sides of the electric fusion fittings to prevent thermal expansion and contraction from affecting welding quality. Adjust the welding time appropriately during welding. Input the matched power supply according to the requirements of the electric fusion welder. The further the distance from the electric fusion welder, the larger the wire diameter of the power supply line is required to avoid under-voltage affecting welding quality. When installing pipes, ensure that elbows and tees are properly supported and reinforced, and make appropriate pipe compensation. The pipe material must be buried below the frost layer. During installation and welding, the pipeline cannot be submerged in water. In cold weather, do not move the pipes and fittings during the cooling process.
