
Electro-fused fittings are plastic (polyethylene) pipe accessories that can be fused together through the heat generated by an electrical current.
Tools Required for Construction: Pipe cutter; Grinding machine (polishing pad), marker pen; Electric Welding Machine (compliant with ISO 12176-2). Recommended models: Jinan Bada 315A type (for diameters 200mm and below) or Tianjin Zhengwei Welding Machine.
To install steel wire mesh plastic composite pipe and perforated steel strip plastic composite pipe materials, the following tools are required: pipe cutting machine; trimming knife, grinder (polishing disc), marking pen; electric fusion welder (compliant with ISO 12176-2). It is recommended to use: Jinan Badap 315A type (below 200mm diameter) or Tianjin Zhengwei welder.
Installation and usage steps are as follows:
Vertically cut pipe material, use a scraper to remove the surface oxide layer from the location where the pipe is to be inserted into the electric fusion fittings. Mark the depth of the insertion on the pipe surface with a marker pen, then insert the pipe into the electric fusion fitting until it reaches the marked depth. After installation, align the pipe's central axis with the electric fusion fitting. Secure the pipe and fitting with clamps to prevent misalignment and loosening during welding.
Installation and construction precautions:
During installation, the inner wall of the electric fusion fittings and the melting zone of the pipe material must be free from organic matter and other contaminants. When welding the fittings, maintain a safe distance until the welding has cooled for 30 seconds. Adjust according to the temperature and working voltage of the site environment. Insulate the electric fusion fittings effectively, especially in environments with significant temperature differences. Use straighteners and other tools to securely fasten the pipes on both sides of the electric fusion fittings to prevent thermal expansion and contraction from affecting the welding quality. Adjust the welding time appropriately during welding. Input the matching power supply according to the electric fusion welder's requirements. The farther the power supply is from the electric fusion welder, the larger the wire diameter of the power supply line is required to avoid under-voltage affecting the welding quality. When installing pipes, ensure that elbows and tees are properly supported and reinforced or mounted with brackets, and make appropriate pipe compensation. The pipe material must be buried below the frost layer. During installation and welding, the pipe cannot be submerged in water. During the cooling process, especially in lower temperatures, do not move the pipes or fittings.
