Fermenter, a device used in industrial microbiological fermentation. Its main body is typically a cylindrical shell made of stainless steel plates, with a volume ranging from 1m³ to several hundred m³. Attention should be given to the structural integrity and rationality during design and processing.
Withstanding steam sterilization, operational flexibility, minimal internal accessories (to avoid dead corners), strong material and energy transfer properties, adjustable for easy cleaning and reduced contamination, suitable for production of various products and energy consumption reduction.
The fermentation tank structure for anaerobic fermentation (such as producing alcohol, solvents) can be relatively simple. Fermentation tanks used for aerobic fermentation (such as producing antibiotics, amino acids, organic acids, vitamins, etc.) are more complex in structure due to the need for continuous introduction of large amounts of sterile air into the tank and considerations for air utilization efficiency. Common types include mechanically agitated fermentation tanks, bubbling fermentation tanks, and gas-lift fermentation tanks.
Dairy and beverage fermentation processes are sterile and pollution-free, utilizing a sterile system in the fermentation tanks to avoid and prevent contamination from airborne microorganisms, significantly extending the product's shelf life and purity. The tanks are specially designed with sterile breathing holes or a sterile positive pressure fermentation system. They are equipped with Millo plates or labyrinthine jackets that allow for the introduction of heating or cooling media for continuous heating or cooling cycles.
Fermentation tanks are widely used in industries such as dairy products, beverages, biotechnology, and fine chemicals. They feature an insulated shell, heatable and coolable, with a double-layered insulation. The tank and the upper and lower filling heads (or conical ones) are all processed with a spinning R-radius, and the inner wall is mirror-polished for hygiene, with no卫生 dead corners. The fully enclosed design ensures that materials are always mixed and fermented in a pollution-free state. The equipment is equipped with air breathing holes, CIP cleaning nozzles, and manholes.
Fermenter Categories: Fermenters are divided into mechanical agitation aeration fermenters and non-mechanical agitation aeration fermenters based on the equipment.
According to the metabolic needs of microbial growth, they are divided into aerobic fermentation tanks and anaerobic fermentation tanks.
A fermentation tank is a device for mechanically agitating and fermenting materials. It operates using an internal circulation system, where impellers disperse and break up bubbles, offering a high rate of oxygen solubility and excellent mixing results.
