Coil drums are used for electric wires and cables. Currently, coil drum manufacturers offer two types: large and small. Large coil drums have diameters exceeding 1 meter, with some even reaching over 5 meters, typically used for wooden large-scale transport and logistics. Small coil drums have diameters ranging from 30cm to 100cm, with typical examples being those made of ABS flame-retardant material and high-temperature-resistant materials.
Cable drums are predominantly made of steel or steel-wood structures. The steel structure is robust and less prone to damage, offering effective cable protection and the ability for reuse, thus widely utilized in practice.
Power cables are typically transported, stored, and laid by winding them around reels. Short cables less than 30 meters can also be coiled into loops with a radius not less than the cable's allowed bend radius, and securely tied before being moved.
