
Elbows are commonly used pipe fittings in plumbing installations, designed for connecting at pipe bends and altering the direction of the pipeline.
Other Names: 90° Elbow, Right-Angle Bend, Love Bend, Pressed Elbow, Forged Elbow, Machined Elbow, Welded Elbow, etc.
Purpose: To connect two pipes with the same or different nominal diameters, allowing the piping to make 90°, 45°, 180°, and various degree turns.
A bend is classified as a elbow if its radius is less than or equal to 1.5 times the pipe diameter, and as a bend if its radius is greater than 1.5 times the pipe diameter.
