Stretching molds, also known as stretch forming tools, are used for mass production of required stampings from materials (both metallic and non-metallic). According to their assembly, stretch forming molds can be categorized into single-stroke stretch forming dies, compound dies, and progressive stretch forming dies. They can also be differentiated based on the press equipment used, such as single-action press stretch forming dies, double-action press stretch forming dies, and triple-action press stretch forming dies, with the main distinction being the type of edge holding device (elastic or rigid). Stretch forming molds can further be divided into initial stretch forming dies and subsequent process stretch forming dies, with the primary difference lying in the structure and positioning of the edge holding rings.
