Description

Building safety inspection and certification can detect potential safety hazards in a property. If safety risks are identified, the building inspection agency will immediately notify the property through a building inspection report. House Load-bearing Inspection Process:

1. Conduct on-site surveys of the building structure type, number of floors, property address, construction year, orientation, general renovation, and usage of the property.

2. Review the steel structure layout, component dimensions, and floor heights of the buildings based on the drawings provided by the client; for those without design drawings, measure the existing upper structure layout, component dimensions, and floor heights of each building on-site and draw structural diagrams.

3. Conduct inspections and appraisals for the current appearance damages of steel components in buildings, including cracks, damages, coating peeling, rust on steel, joint injuries, welding appearance defects, and connection fastening conditions.

4. Conduct surface quality inspection and identification of steel components in accordance with national specifications using magnetic particle testing or penetrant testing.

5. Select some steel trusses and steel structural components in accordance with national testing and acceptance specifications. Conduct weld inspection using ultrasonic or magnetic particle testing to determine the presence of defects such as blowholes, slag inclusions, arc pit cracks, and arc burns.

6. Conducted a detection and identification of the torque coefficient for high-tension bolts in steel structure bolted connections using an axial force gauge and a torque wrench.

7. Utilize electronic theodolites to measure the vertical components of the building for verticality, analyze if the building shows signs of tilting, deformation, or uneven settlement, with the specific number of inspections determined based on the on-site conditions and relevant standards.

8. Utilize total station or stringing method for the detection and assessment of deflection deformation in trusses, girders, and their components.

9. Utilize a caliper and a micrometer to measure and verify the thickness of steel components.

10. Utilize ultrasonic thickness gauges to inspect and verify the wall thickness of pipe steel components.

11. Conduct strength assessment of steel using the surface hardness method.

12. Use a coating thickness gauge to inspect and verify the thickness of corrosion or fire-resistant coatings on steel components.

13. Perform magnetic particle inspection on the bolted ball of the grid structure in accordance with national specification standards.

14. Based on actual on-site testing data and design requirements, and in accordance with the "Code for Load on Building Structures" (G009-2012) and relevant national codes for building structure design, the load-bearing capacity of the upper structure of the building is calculated and assessed to determine if the current load-bearing capacity of the building meets national code requirements and the safety requirements for future use.
