Fiberglass Precautions

Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Skylight Installation Tips:

After installation, reserve the space for the light-transmitting panel, and the construction proceeds from the eaves to the ridge direction. The light-transmitting panel is directly fastened onto the side wave peak of the steel plate.

Skylight panels should have pilot holes prior to installation, with the hole diameter being 6-9mm larger than the diameter of the fixing screws for thermal expansion and contraction.

When lapping the translucent sheeting with steel plates vertically, there must be at least a 200mm overlap, and two water-stopping strips should be applied.

When fixing skylight panels, a good gasket must be used between the screws and the panels for waterproofing and dustproofing.

After inserting the gasket into the screw, secure it into the joist with an electric drill, thus completing the installation of the skylight panel.

During the installation of skylight panels, it is strictly prohibited to step directly on the crest to prevent cracking of the panels. A 1200mm x 300mm (length x width) non-slip thick wooden board must be placed horizontally on the skylight panel for foot placement while working on the guiding holes and fixing screws.
