Fiberglass Precautions

Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Light-Transmitting Panel Installation Key Points:

After installation, reserve the space for the light-transmitting panels, and the construction proceeds from the eaves towards the ridge. The light-transmitting panels are directly clipped onto the side wave peaks of the steel sheet.

Skylight panels should be pre-drilled before installation, with the hole diameter being 6-9mm larger than the diameter of the fixing screws to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction.

When the translucent sheeting overlaps the steel plate vertically, there must be at least a 200mm overlap, with two waterstop strips attached.

When fixing skylight panels, a good gasket must be used between the screws and the panels for moisture and dust prevention.

After fitting the gasket over the screw, secure it into the rafter with an electric drill, completing the installation of the skylight panel.

When installing skylight panels, it is strictly prohibited to step directly on the peaks to prevent cracking of the panels. A 1200mm x 300mm (length x width) anti-slip thick木板 must be placed horizontally on the skylight panel for foot placement while working on the guiding holes and fixing screws of the panel.
