Touchscreen model vacuum centrifugal concentrator features a 7-inch touchscreen for easier operation; can store 48 programs for better record of experimental data; also allows gradient operation to enhance the concentrator's efficiency.
Vacuum centrifugal concentrators are used for sample preparation and analysis in fields such as chemistry, biology, and pharmaceuticals. In life sciences, these instruments are commonly employed for separating and concentrating proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules. Vacuum centrifugal concentration is a process that evaporates solvents to concentrate or dry biological (non-biological) samples. By combining centrifugal force, vacuum, and heating, solvents in the samples are rapidly evaporated, achieving concentration of the samples for subsequent analysis and testing.
Principle:By reducing the pressure inside the cavity through vacuum extraction, the boiling point of the solvent is lowered. As the pressure decreases, the boiling point of the solution follows suit, so when the pressure reaches a certain level, the solution begins to boil. At the same time, continuous centrifugation of the sample ensures that the solution is continually collected at the bottom of the centrifuge tube, preventing sample contamination and loss due to boiling. Solvent vapor is liquefied as it passes through a low-temperature cold trap, captured by the trap, and thus protecting the vacuum pump, extending its service life. Additionally, the sample remains in a low-temperature and vacuum environment, which can prevent inactivation and oxidation of heat-sensitive samples.
