The function of a water collection well:
1. The entrance to the basement typically features a stormwater drain, which channels both rainwater and wastewater into a collection well.
2. Excess water from residential water tanks, pumps, or during equipment maintenance is also channeled into the collection well.
3. For fire protection purposes, the fire water from the automatic sprinkler system or fire hydrant should also be directed into the sedimentation well in the event of a fire.
Pumping Station Water Collection
Combing all water leakage functions, the sump is located at the lowest point of the building facilities. When the water level reaches a certain height, it is pumped out and discharged to the tailwater. Primarily for elevator shafts and auxiliary buildings of the pump house.
Building Purpose:
The water collection wells on the building are constructed around the perimeter to create localized water concentration, facilitating drainage, and achieving the goal of water-free construction in the foundation pit.
