I. Overview

To implement a coke oven gas desulfurization project, it is necessary to extract gas from the underground flue, and a vertical slide gate must be installed after the gas extraction hole to prevent leakage or backflow of the coke oven flue gas. However, in the event of special conditions such as power failure in the main fan for flue gas, the vertical slide gate must be capable of automatic, timely, and rapid opening to ensure that the flue gas can pass through the underground flue and be discharged from the system normally.

Lianyungang Huaneng Power Auxiliary Equipment Co., Ltd. has specially developed the "quick-opening vertical plate door for power failure," also known as: quick-opening plate door, quick-opening flue valve, quick-opening smoke plate door, coke oven underground flue plate valve, heavy hammer quick-opening valve, and coking quick-opening plate valve. This device can ensure automatic, timely, and rapid opening during system anomalies, even in the event of power failure, to ensure the quick passage of smoke, thereby guaranteeing system safety.

Section II: Main Components of the Equipment

The quick-opening vertical plug door assembly mainly consists of two major parts: the plug door main body and the driving mechanism. These two parts are arranged horizontally on either side and connected to form an integrated unit via a steel wire rope pulley system. For details, refer to the illustration in the figure below titled "Schematic Diagram of the Quick-Opening Vertical Plug Door Structure." The main body of the plug door is primarily composed of the door frame, door body, and a set of three-way positioning guide wheels with elastic linear sealing strips. The driving mechanism is mainly made up of the mechanism frame, counterweight, counterweight guide rail, damping device, shock-absorbing device, counterweight lifting mechanism, locking device, quick-release device, and control system.
