Glass Extraction TowerIt is a rotating impeller type tower extraction equipment. A series of screen plates (stationary rings) divide the tower into several stages along the axial direction. Between each pair of fixed screen plates, there is a turbine-type mixer fixed on the rotating shaft. The turbine rotates within the compartments to generate characteristic flow patterns, keeping the fluid in the turbulent zone inside the tower. Due to the stronger shearing action of the turbine on the liquid compared to a general disc, the mixing effect of the turbine mixer tower is much more intense, allowing the droplets to be well dispersed, thus promoting mass transfer.
The extraction tower is a differential contact tower where the fluid is in continuous contact throughout the entire tower. Two-phase separation occurs at the inlets and outlets. The model based on the droplet cluster theory better describes the fluid flow characteristics within this type of tower. The droplet cluster model provides a comprehensive statistical description of the system and is a function of droplet size, concentration, and related properties in the dispersed phase.
The industrial turbine extraction tower consists of five main parts: oil-water separator (upper and lower), tower body, turbine disk system, feed and discharge system, and electrical control system. The inner diameter and height of the tower are customized according to the customer's process material. Several static rings are set at certain intervals on the inner wall of the tower. The turbine (dynamic ring, disk) is fixed on the central shaft, and the static rings divide the tower into several mixing zones. In each mixing zone, the liquid is mixed through the dynamic ring to achieve two-phase mixing. Each mixing zone is a theoretical stage, and the two-phase liquids achieve multi-stage countercurrent contact mixing during the countercurrent process.
Work Process
The oil phase (light phase) enters from the bottom of the tower and overflows from the top; the water phase (heavy phase) is added at the top and exits from the bottom. Both flow in opposite directions within the tower.
Turbine Agitator Blade: Provides necessary radial mixing and phase dispersion, enabling the turbine blade design to more closely approximate uniform droplet sizes of the dispersed phase and to more accurately predict the flow characteristics of two-phase fluid dynamics, based on hydrodynamic research data.
Tiers: Separated to form a single compartment, they can reduce fluid axial backmixing while achieving excellent dispersed phase residence time.
