Model 300 Turbine Extractor Tower, an indispensable equipment in chemical production. Its primary function is to mix two or more immiscible liquids together, taking advantage of the differences in solubility between them to achieve the separation and purification of specific components.
Customizable: Yes
Application Industries: Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Pesticides, Hydrometallurgy, Food, Environmental Protection, Petroleum, Fragrances, Dyes, etc.
The 300 Model Turbine Extractor Tower is a rotating impeller type tower extraction equipment with a tower diameter of 300mm. A series of sieve plates (stationary rings) divide the tower body into several stages along the axial direction. Between every two fixed sieve plates, there is a turbine-type mixer fixed on the rotating shaft. The mixer generates a characteristic flow pattern by rotating within the compartments, keeping the fluid in a turbulent zone. Due to the stronger shearing action of the turbine compared to the general rotating disk on the liquid, the mixing effect of the turbine extractor tower is much more intense, allowing for thorough dispersion of droplets, which is conducive to mass transfer.
The extraction tower is a differential contact tower where the entire tower fluid is in continuous contact. Two-phase separation occurs at the inlets and outlets. The model based on the droplet swarm theory better describes the fluid flow characteristics within this type of tower. The droplet swarm model is a comprehensive statistical description of the system, being a function of droplet size, concentration, and related properties in the dispersed phase.
The industrial turbine extraction tower consists of five main parts: the oil-water separator (upper and lower), tower body, disk system, feed and discharge system, and electrical control system. The internal diameter and height of the tower are customized based on the customer's process materials. Several static rings are set at certain intervals on the inner wall of the tower. The turbine (dynamic ring, disk) is fixed on the central shaft, dividing the tower into several mixing zones. In each mixing zone, the liquid is mixed through the dynamic ring to achieve phase mixing. Each mixing zone is a theoretical stage, and the two-phase liquids achieve multi-stage countercurrent contact mixing during the countercurrent process.
Work Process
The oil phase (light phase) enters from the bottom of the tower and overflows from the top; the water phase (heavy phase) is added at the top and exits from the bottom, both flowing in opposite directions within the tower.
Turbine agitator blades: Provide necessary radial mixing and phase dispersion, with the design of the turbine blades optimized based on fluid dynamic research data to achieve uniform droplet sizes of the dispersed phase and more accurate prediction of the flow characteristics of two-phase fluid mechanics.
Tray: Separated to form a single compartment, it can reduce the axial backmixing of fluids while achieving a high dispersed phase residence time.
