Centrifugal extractors use a motor to drive the drum to rotate at high speed. The two mixed liquids to be separated are mixed and transferred by the shearing force generated by the stirrer, and then quickly separated under the centrifugal force produced by the high-speed rotation of the drum.

Centrifugal extraction units can be used individually or in multi-stage series for countercurrent extraction, offering high mass transfer efficiency, short two-phase residence time, and minimal retention. Mixing process

Light and heavy phase materials are fed into the mixing zone of the equipment via the feed inlet of the centrifugal extraction unit, proportioned according to the process requirements by the feed pump. The motor drives the mixing structure at high speed, rapidly blending and dispersing the light and heavy phases, thereby completing the mixing mass transfer process.

Separation process

Under the action of the vortex disk or feeder, the mixed liquid enters the drum. Inside the cavity formed by the web, the mixed liquid quickly rotates synchronously with the drum. Due to centrifugal force, the denser heavy phase liquid gradually moves away from the drum center and towards the drum wall as it flows upwards; conversely, the less dense light phase liquid moves away from the drum wall towards the center. After clarification, the two phases of liquid are separately channeled through their respective weir plates into the collection chamber and then流出 via the heavy and light phase outlets, thereby completing the two-phase separation process.
