The LXC-150 pilot-scale 316L stainless steel centrifugal extraction unit is a new, fast, and efficient liquid-liquid extraction and separation equipment. It boasts higher separation efficiency compared to traditional extraction equipment like extraction tanks and columns, making it more conducive to continuous production.
Centrifugal extractors utilize a motor to drive the drum to high-speed rotation. The two liquids to be mixed and separated are mixed and transferred under the action of the shearing force generated by the stirrer blades, and then rapidly separated under the centrifugal force produced by the high-speed rotation of the drum.
Centrifugal extraction units can be used individually or in multi-stage series to achieve countercurrent extraction, featuring high mass transfer efficiency, short residence time of both phases, and minimal retention volume. Operation is straightforward, allowing for adjustable speed, flow ratio, and mixing intensity as needed.
To meet customer needs, Zhengfen Distillation offers extraction equipment consultation and services: from initial process goal or operational condition communication, planning, design, customized production, and manufacturing, we help you build the ideal extraction equipment, providing you with greater peace of mind and ease. Mixed process
Light and heavy phase materials are fed into the mixing zone of the equipment via the feed inlet of the centrifugal extraction unit at the required ratio by the feed pump, driven at high speed by the motor, which rapidly mixes and disperses the light and heavy phases, thereby completing the mixing mass transfer process.
Separation process
The mixed liquid enters the drum under the action of the vortex disk or feeder, quickly synchronizing with the drum's rotation within the cavity formed by the web. Under the force of centrifugal force, the denser heavy-phase liquid gradually moves away from the drum center towards the drum wall as it flows upwards; the lighter phase liquid, with lower density, moves away from the drum wall towards the center. After clarification, the two phases of liquid separately flow through their respective weir plates into the collection chamber and exit through the heavy and light phase outlets, completing the two-phase separation process.
Equipment Features
♦ High blending efficiency and extraction quality: Can flexibly match the mixing structure according to different material system requirements, achieving efficient extraction.
♦ Effective two-phase separation: The equipment separates water phase and organic phase using centrifugal force, ensuring fast and stable separation while avoiding interference from human factors.
♦ Small online liquid holding capacity: The internal liquid holding capacity of the equipment is small, for example, the liquid holding capacity for a 6m³/h processing capacity equipment can be 35L.
♦ The equipment has a low amplification effect: The equipment separates using centrifugal force and employs precise mixing, making it a typical process intensification equipment with a low amplification effect.
♦ Energy-saving and Environmentally Friendly: Low power consumption, fully enclosed, high-efficiency, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving equipment.
